Building on the legacy of Coronet Lighting (founded in 1947), we founded DOUA Design in San Luis Obispo, California during a period of uncertainty, working tirelessly to meet our customers’ lighting needs at a time when many others could not. We thought innovatively, responded quickly, and put our customers first.
As we grew, we recognized the need to build a more resilient and competitive supply chain. This vision led us to establish a sustainable, socially responsible, nearshore manufacturing facility in El Salvador.
With a Salvadorian-American team, led by partner Rene Chavez, we became first movers in lighting production there, combining design expertise with hands-on manufacturing. This integration has allowed us to offer industry-leading lead times, uncompromising quality, and highly competitive pricing.
Today, our work continues to evolve and push the industry forward. From design to manufacturing, we’re committed to delivering beautiful, functional, and accessible lighting solutions.
